Star Bank is excited to welcome Tera Hansbro to our Maple Lake team as VP Employee Relations & Talent Development.

Tera brings many years of banking experience to Star Bank. She began her career in retail banking, where she spent 17 years working with customers and building relationships. Along the way, she earned her master’s degree in Human Resources Management and most recently continued her career in banking before joining the Star Bank team. Her background in both banking and human resources brings valuable experience to her new role.

Star Bank is excited to welcome Dave Mahoney to our Morris team as a Mortgage Loan Originator.

Dave grew up in Morris and attended the University of Minnesota Morris. He and his wife spent more than 20 years running a title company in the Morris and Elbow Lake area, which they recently sold. Dave also brings previous experience in both banking and the mortgage industry.

Welcome Missy Manke!

Star Bank is excited to welcome Melissa "Missy" to our team as a Loan Operations Processor based in Maple Lake location.

Missy grew up in Annandale and has spent most of her life in the area. Before joining Star Bank, she worked as a property appraiser for nine years. She also brings previous banking experience on both the deposit and lending sides and has been looking forward to returning to the banking industry.

Congratulations to Halena Chase on Her New Role as Loan Assistant

Congratulations to Halena Chase on her new role as Loan Assistant in our Wheaton office. Halena joined Star Bank in 2021 and has grown through several customer-facing roles during her tenure with the bank. She began as a Customer Service Representative before moving to Customer Service Specialist, Universal Banker, and most recently, Customer Service Supervisor. Her experience serving customers in these roles has helped her build strong relationships in the community, develop a deep understanding of customer's needs, and become a trusted member of the Wheaton team.

Welcome, Abigail Paumen!

Star Bank is excited to welcome Abigail Paumen to our Eagle Bend team as a Customer Service Representative. 


Growing up in Maple Lake, Abigail is familiar with seeing Star Bank out and about in the community and has always been impressed with the friendly, community-focused culture. After graduating from High School, she attended Alexandria Technical & Community College, where she earned a degree in Accounting and Business Management. She’s currently attending Bemidji State University pursuing a bachelor’s degree. 

Welcome, Taylor Kuchenmeister!

Please join us in welcoming Taylor Kuchenmeister to Star Bank as a Customer Service Representative in our Annandale office.

Taylor brings previous banking experience to her new role, having spent three years working in the industry as both a Teller and Universal Banker. After relocating from Wisconsin to Buffalo, MN in 2023, she transitioned into daycare work, but found herself missing the customer relationships and meaningful interactions that made banking so rewarding. When the opportunity to join Star Bank came along, she knew it was the right fit.

Welcome, Esther Betz to our Wheaton offices as the newest Customer Service Representative. 

Esther has been enjoying her first few weeks at Star Bank and says every day brings something new to learn. As she settles in, she's been surprised by some of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the banking world...like how much coin is handled every day and that the vault is quite different from what is portrayed in the movies!

In her role, Jasmine works alongside lender Raye Ludovissie, helping prepare loans for closing, verifying information, and supporting customers throughout the loan process. As she settles into her new position, Jasmine says she’s enjoyed learning the many moving parts and processes of banking.
