Congratulations to Halena Chase on her new role as Loan Assistant in our Wheaton office. Halena joined Star Bank in 2021 and has grown through several customer-facing roles during her tenure with the bank. She began as a Customer Service Representative before moving to Customer Service Specialist, Universal Banker, and most recently, Customer Service Supervisor. Her experience serving customers in these roles has helped her build strong relationships in the community, develop a deep understanding of customer's needs, and become a trusted member of the Wheaton team.
"I've always been interested in loans" Halena shared, "My husband is a farmer, so it's been interesting to see how small businesses benefit from loans and how the process works. I'm excited to learn more about lending and how we can help people reach their financial goals."
In her new role, Halena will support behind-the-scenes processes that help move loans forward. Her attention to detail, customer service background, and interest in gaining new skills will be valuable as she learns more about the lending process. She's especially looking forward to getting a better understanding of how loans work from start to finish while continuing to support Star Bank customers.
Although Halena is transitioning into a new role, customers will still see her around the Wheaton office. "Folks can still come see me and I'll do my best to help them," she said. "I'm also excited to pass the torch to the new frontline employees. We've got a great team here."
