Welcome, Dave Mahoney!
Star Bank is excited to welcome Dave Mahoney to our Morris team as a Mortgage Loan Originator.
Dave grew up in Morris and attended the University of Minnesota Morris. He and his wife spent more than 20 years running a title company in the Morris and Elbow Lake area, which they recently sold. Dave also brings previous experience in both banking and the mortgage industry.
While working in banking in Hancock, Dave stayed connected with Justin Cronen and Star Bank over the years. When the opportunity for a new office in Morris came up, Dave reached out to see if it might be a good fit for Star Bank. He is excited to be back in banking and especially enjoys meeting people, developing relationships, and connecting with members of the community.
Outside of work, Dave stays busy as the assistant boys golf coach for Morris High School, a role he has held for the past eight years. He also enjoys golfing with his family, deer and pheasant hunting, and attending Timberwolves and Vikings games. Dave and his wife still live in the Morris area with their son and daughter, along with a dog, a cat, and eight goats that his daughter shows.
Dave is also involved with Stevens County 4-H as a shooting sports coach. He helped co-found the shooting sports team about 10 to 12 years ago and continues to volunteer with the program.
When it comes to travel, Dave has especially enjoyed visiting Hawaii and Ireland. Looking ahead, he hopes to make a trip to the national rodeo in Las Vegas.
