On Monday, December 16th, Lucky Charms Childcare and Preschool in Maple Lake opened its doors, bringing a much-needed childcare facility to the community. This exciting milestone was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, December 13th. The ceremony marked the culmination of two years of hard work and collaboration to bring this project to life.

We're thrilled to announce the well-earned promotions of two key team members in our Maple Lake office! Julie Hudek has been promoted to VP, Branch Operations Manager, and Consumer Lender, while Craig Manz has stepped into the role of SVP, Assistant Chief Credit Officer, and Commercial Lender. Both Julie and Craig bring a wealth of experience and commitment to these positions, and we’re excited to see them drive positive change and growth in their new roles.

Each of our Star Bank locations and our communities rallied around this campaign, contributing to its success in big ways. Special thanks go to Paul Cronen, our customer and friend, whose passion for cancer support and desire to make a difference sparked this effort—although we didn’t hit the $30,000 goal for him to cut his hair, the funds raised are sure to bring hope and assistance to countless families.

Star Bank announces the semi-retirement of Harry Wahlquist, the bank’s Founder and President/CEO. Effective July 18th, Harry Wahlquist will continue serving Star Bank as Chairman of the Board and as CEO. Katie Wahlquist has been elected to serve as President & Chief Strategy Officer and will succeed Harry Wahlquist from an organizational leadership perspective. A retirement celebration for Harry will be announced at a later date.
