Angie Martin is our Human Resources Manager based out of our Eden Prairie office and serving all 11 Star Bank locations. She holds over two decades of experience in human resources, with a focus on community banking. She got an early start in HR at her college job with Walmart where she helped with hiring and recruiting. From there, her career blossomed and has always centered around serving people. In 2000, Angie began at United Bankers’ Bank (UBB), where she started as a generalist and quickly moved into the role of HR Officer. She handled internal HR for UBB while also consulting with community banks on their HR needs. Most recently, before coming to Star Bank, Angie served as an HR Officer at a local community bank where she supported two offices and oversaw all aspects of HR. 

When asked why she chose Star Bank, Angie shared: “When I started, it just felt right. The people are so nice. It doesn’t have a corporate feel here. One of the things that stood out to me was how many women are in leadership at all levels. That’s really unique for banking.”
Outside of work, you’ll find Angie working on a puzzle, listening to a good audiobook, enjoying the lake life, and spending time with family. Fun fact: Angie’s favorite color is orange. She says she’s always loved this bold and happy color. It reminds her of childhood memories of orange candy slices in her grandma’s dish and her favorite orange shirt growing up.
